SidelineMath Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms
​

By accessing or using SidelineMath (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are a parent or guardian creating an account on behalf of a child under 13, you are agreeing to these Terms on behalf of yourself and your child.

 

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

 

These Terms apply to all users of SidelineMath, including guests playing as Free Agents and registered All-Star Account holders.

 
2. Who We Are
​

SidelineMath is operated by Sideline Education, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), headquartered in North Carolina.

3. Who Can Use SidelineMath
​

Guest (Free Agent) play is open to anyone, anywhere, with no registration required.

 

All-Star Accounts are open to users worldwide, subject to the following:

  • Users under 13 must have a parent or guardian complete the account registration process on their behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy

  • Users 13 and older may register using their own email address

  • Users must provide accurate information during registration

  • One account per person is permitted

  • You must not create an account on behalf of another person without their knowledge, or misrepresent your age or identity during registration

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate accounts at our discretion.

4. Parent and Guardian Responsibilities
​

If you are a parent or guardian who has created an All-Star Account for a child under 13, you:

  • Represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian

  • Consent to our collection and use of your child's information as described in our Privacy Policy

  • Are responsible for supervising your child's use of the Service

  • Agree to ensure your child complies with these Terms

  • Understand that you may review, correct, or delete your child's information at any time by contacting us at privacy@sidelinemath.com

  • May withdraw consent at any time, which will result in the closure of the child's account

5. Accounts
​

Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password. You agree to notify us immediately at privacy@sidelinemath.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

​

Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and to keep that information up to date.

​

One account per person: Creating multiple accounts to gain competitive or prize advantages is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

​

Account transfer: Accounts are personal and may not be transferred, sold, or shared with another person.

​

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SidelineMath only for its intended purpose as an educational math game. You agree not to:

​

  • Attempt to manipulate, cheat, or exploit the game in any way to gain an unfair advantage

  • Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or other means to artificially inflate scores or tokens

  • Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the Service's servers, databases, or security systems

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

  • Attempt to harvest or collect information about other users

  • Interfere with another user's enjoyment of the Service

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension pending review. We reserve the right to permanently terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations.

7. Prizes
​

SidelineMath awards one prize per month to one winning All-Star Account holder, subject to the following terms:

Eligibility:

​

  • Winners must hold an active, verified All-Star Account at the time of selection

  • Winners must be located in the United States at the time of prize fulfillment

  • Accounts found to have violated these Terms are not eligible

  • SidelineMath employees, contractors, and their immediate family members are not eligible

​

Prize selection:

  • The winner is selected based on gameplay performance during the applicable month

  • SidelineMath reserves the right to modify the selection criteria at any time with reasonable notice

​

Prize fulfillment:

  • Winners will be contacted at the parent or guardian email address on file

  • For winners under 13, the mailing address for physical prizes will be collected from the parent or guardian only — never from the child

  • Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value

  • SidelineMath reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value

  • Unclaimed prizes expire 30 days after winner notification

Taxes:

  • Winners are solely responsible for any applicable taxes arising from prize receipt

​

SidelineMath reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the prize program at any time.

8. Intellectual Property
​

All content on SidelineMath — including but not limited to the game, graphics, characters, mascots, logos, text, music, and software — is owned by or licensed to Sideline Education, LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

​

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any SidelineMath content without our prior written permission.

 

Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights in the Service or its content.

​

9. User Content
​

SidelineMath does not currently permit users to submit, post, or share user-generated content. If this changes in the future, these Terms will be updated accordingly.

​

10. Sponsorships and Advertising
​

SidelineMath is free for all families. We are able to keep it that way thanks in part to the sponsors and advertisers who support us.

SidelineMath may display contextual sponsorships and branding within the game. All in-game advertising is contextual only — we do not use personal data to target advertising to children under any circumstances.

​

Your weekly parent progress report may include family-friendly advertising content from our sponsors. We review all advertisers carefully and will never promote products inappropriate for children or families. We will never sell your email address or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

​

By registering for an All-Star Account, you acknowledge that the weekly progress report may include sponsor content as described above.

​

11. Disclaimer of Warranties
​

SidelineMath is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

 

We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content on the Service.

​

12. Limitation of Liability
​

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sideline Education, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

​

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed $100.

​

13. Indemnification
​

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sideline Education, LLC, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

​

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
​

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

​

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be addressed by contacting us at privacy@sidelinemath.com. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes informally.

​

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, we encourage mediation as a next step and will participate in good faith in any mediation process either party proposes.

 

If mediation is unsuccessful or either party declines, disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

​

Note for parents: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a parent or guardian under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or any other applicable law.

​

15. Changes to These Terms
​

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify parents of registered users under 13 by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The updated Terms will always be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

​

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

​

16. Termination
​

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms.

​

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law.
